It's that time again – a new issue of The TRIZ Journal! But as usual, the articles in this month's issue are from a mix of authors covering classical TRIZ, a service taxonomy, logic, medicine and a look at the world of systematic innovation outside of TRIZ. Look for this month's news to learn about a call for papers and some international TRIZ happenings.

• The healthcare industry is in the news each day – for good reasons and for bad; Using Trends of Evolution to Direct Wound Treatments looks at the positive. Evolutionary trends are useful in predicting how we will heal wounds in the future.
• Covering all time periods, Body of Knowledge for Classical TRIZ categorizes TRIZ tools into content-oriented and process-oriented. The author includes his experience with developing the curriculum of the Taiwan TRIZ Association's study program.
• Integration of a Service Taxonomy: The 40 Inventive Principles for Conceptualizing the Components of a Service System enables TRIZ users to follow a structured procedure for developing ideas beyond (the more common) product development.
• This month's Student Corner article covers a topic of importance for all inventors – logic.
• And in a brief departure, one article explores the world of systematic innovation beyond TRIZ. A quick look at some of the articles that are featured on Real Innovation (The TRIZ Journal's home) is presented as a reminder that there are a number of options at the inventor's disposal, dependent upon the particular challenge being faced.

• Blackwell Publishing's Creativity and Innovation Management Journal has issued a Call for Papers for an upcoming special issue on the "Theory of Inventive Problem
  Solving – Impact for Creativity and Innovation Management." The submission deadline is March 1, 2008.
• Toru Nakagawa has updated The TRIZ Home Page in Japan. Be sure to check out the new additions in both English and Japanese.
• October brings AMETRIZ's conference and November brings this year's ETRIA conference – look for live commentaries from The TRIZ Journal's founding editor, Ellen Domb.
