  • Question Submitted To RealInnovation.com:
"Some posts are made by people pushing their own businesses on the forum, but no added comment is made following their posts. What is the guideline for posting products or services on the forum?"

    RealInnovation.com Response:
The RealInnovation.com discussion forum is not a medium for user or business advertising. Solid and factual posts by industry experts (who often work at companies selling related products and services) tend to generate sales leads because of intrinsic value, not promotional text.

We view all posts to maintain high standards within the Forum. Should you notice a post that you feel does not provide value, but instead promotes products or services, please notify RealInnovation.com (include the URL) and we will review it.

In writing this policy, it is our intention to encourage everyone to contribute openly about -related concepts, tools and best practices. We only hope to discourage non-beneficial forum posts. We believe that signatures are a valid and useful way for readers to connect with authors.

    Question Submitted To RealInnovation.com:
"I would like to promote a survey delivered at a web location other than on the forum. Can I link to my survey from the forum?"

    RealInnovation.com's Response:
We don't allow forum participants to promote and link to outside surveys for many reasons. For one, we want to maintain simplicity in our rules which means that if we allow any surveys, what is to stop survey companies (business model focused on collecting data and selling results) from promoting their surveys for financial gain? This goes against the policy stated above, and as such we ask you refrain from promoting any surveys.

If you feel your survey will provide significant benefit to the RealInnovation.com readership, please contact RealInnovation.com and ask if we would consider promoting your survey through other channels. If this appeals to you, in your please provide your full name, contact details, reason for the survey, use of the survey results, what you will be able to provide that RealInnovation.com can share with all readers, and your timeline. Only serious and well-thought out surveys that provide a benefit for the majority of RealInnovation.com readers will be considered for promotion by RealInnovation.com.
